Lethbridge Pride Fest
Lethbridge Pride Fest returns to Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden on Sunday, June 7, from 9 AM to 5 PM. This all-ages celebration features live music, drag performances, taiko dancing, face painting, portrait drawing, and interactive photo opportunities. Garden admission rates apply for ages 5+.

Pride in the Park
Pride in the Park celebrates the LGBTQ+ community with a full day of activities at Galt Gardens. Running from 11 AM to 5 PM on June 20, the festival features performances, vendors, food, and family-friendly entertainment. A welcoming event for all community members.

Father's Day and International Yoga Day Festival
Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden hosts a Father's Day and International Yoga Day Festival on June 21. The day features free morning yoga, live performances including Taiko drumming and Yosakoi dance, live portrait drawing, and a free screening of My Neighbor Totoro. Family-friendly activities and garden admission available.

Canada Day Festival
Canada Day Festival at Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden celebrates the national holiday with performances, activities, and fireworks. The day-long event features taiko drumming, face painting, origami demonstrations, and evening fireworks at Henderson Lake. Admission is $20 per person (ages 6+). The garden is open 10 AM to 11 PM.

Shakespeare in the Garden – King Lear

Heritage Day Festival
Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden celebrates Heritage Day on August 3 with a full day of Japanese cultural experiences. Events include a Lion Dance performance, HIBIKIYA Taiko Drumming, and an origami demonstration by local experts. Admission is $20 and includes a drink and cookie. Family-friendly activities showcase music, art, and traditional crafts.

Obon Toro Nagashi Festival

North American International Yosakoi Festival 2026
The North American International Yosakoi Festival returns to Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden for its second year on September 19–20, 2026. This vibrant celebration features Yosakoi dance performances by teams from North America and Japan, interactive workshops, food vendors, and cultural exchange activities. The festival blends traditional Japanese movement with modern choreography in a community-focused setting.
