Enjoy an evening of acrylic painting with a Pride-themed canvas. Sarah Peace (@modest.masterpeace) is a queer, self-taught artist who brings a whimsical, dreamlike quality to her acrylic, watercolour, and gouache paintings. She creates enchanting landscapes, Art Nouveau-inspired portraits, and scenes from her favourite movies and TV shows. Her process is distinguished by a unique approach to colour layering - she mixes paint directly on the brush for each part of the painting rather than pre-mixing, resulting in a mosaic of depth and colour that makes each piece feel vibrant and alive. Sarah has been creating since she could hold a pencil, but it wasn't until the pandemic that she was inspired to prioritize art in her daily life.
