Noticing: Building Observational Capacity by Drawing Native Plants Along the Oldman River
This workshop uses drawing exercises as a tool for building observational skills and attention to the prairie landscape along the Oldman River. Participants will practice noticing patterns and relationships in nature while learning about land stewardship. No drawing experience required. Suitable for ages 14+.

Explore the River Valley with Larkfir Conservation Session 2: Bugs at Dusk
Join Larkfir Conservation for a guided two-hour exploration of insects and small creatures in the Oldman River Valley. Starting with an introduction at the Galt Museum, participants will observe local pollinators and decomposers in their natural habitat and engage in a nature-inspired creative activity. Suitable for families, curious kids, and lifelong learners.

Guided River Canoe Trip with High Level Canoes and Kayaks
Join a guided canoe trip down the Old Man River with High Level Canoes and Kayaks and Galt Museum staff. The three-hour journey departs from Botterill Bottom, passes under the High Level Bridge, and ends at Pavan Park. Learn about local history, river ecology, and Indigenous heritage while paddling. Adults, seniors, and children with caregivers welcome. Registration required; $50 per person.
